Nugget Falls

It's such a short walk to Nugget Falls next to the Mendenhall, Aaron and I figured it would be the perfect evening walk for the puppies.


The weather was beautiful again yesterday, and while they're letting us ease into things here I want to take full advantage of our time.


As you can see, the dogs are perfectly fine with their new surroundings. Sammy got a new bed from Costco today and has been snoozing away and is eating fine again. She really enjoys checking out the new area on our walks, and Harley of course is same as always. She's a rebel, but has been rather well behaved. Except for that fact that every time we're not watching she seems to catch a nap on the various couches, etc. around the housing unit.

I'm so glad we got to bring the pups with us - I think they're finally starting to have as much fun as we are!


The walk was the perfect end to a great day, but we decided to take a little drive over to Douglas Island. We managed to see a few deer (apparently a rare thing up here!) and a friendly little porcupine. I'm still working on my moves with the camera so I missed pictures of both...so we'll just have to find them again!
